Jessie’s function at PRIA Healthcare:

Jessie McConnell is the manager of our Patient Access Managers. She oversees the team responsible for payer access, obtaining positive coverage through appeals, and post-claims appeals. Jessie assures that our programs are staffed, trained, and aligned appropriately. 

Jessie’s life before joining the People of PRIA Healthcare:

Jessie began her medical career as a volunteer at the age of twelve, assisting with receiving and pharmacy duties at a small hospital nursing home. By fourteen, she had earned her CNA license. She spent several years working as a traveling CNA. Her experience expanded into the OBGYN field, where she worked in both medical practices and hospital settings. Jessie has since obtained professional billing and physician practice management certifications. She possesses extensive experience working with and for medical device manufacturers in the durable medical equipment, podiatry, cardiac, and orthopedic sectors, as well as significant expertise in revenue cycle and billing management.

Jessie’s life outside of PRIA Healthcare:

Outside of PRIA Jessie owns and operates a farm in Montana. She has two daughters and is happily married to her husband of 23 years. Jessie loves to paint, wood burn, and ride motorcycles in her free time.

Jessie McConnell, CPPM, CPB, is PRIA’s Patient Access Manager for the Operations department, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to her role. With certifications as a Certified Physician Practice Manager (CPPM) since 2020 and a Certified Professional Biller (CPB) since 2016, Jessie is highly credentialed and well-equipped to navigate the complexities of patient access platform solutions programs.

Jessie joined PRIA Healthcare in December 2023 and has quickly become a vital member of the team. Her proudest accomplishment at PRIA thus far has been her collaboration with various teams to establish robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and identify and develop new opportunities that echo PRIA’s organizational expansion. These achievements underscore her strategic mindset, dedication to operational excellence, and unwavering commitment to ensuring PRIA remains a leader in patient access solutions.

Reflecting on her role and what drives her, Jessie shares, “I love the ability to provide patients access to new medical technology and innovations for superior care and results.”  This passion for facilitating access to cutting-edge medical technologies and improving patient outcomes is at the heart of her work and aligns impeccably with PRIA’s mission.

Outside the office, Jessie has a vibrant array of interests that help her maintain a balanced and fulfilling life; she enjoys the thrill and freedom of riding motorcycles on the open road in Montana, the creative expression of painting, and the joy of cooking and exploring new recipes.  Each of these hobbies provides her with unique ways to relax, recharge, and explore new ideas.
